While the game now offers a F2P option, it limits your characters to pre-set archetypes and gives you a smaller pool of costume doodads to build your characters with. City of Heroes/Villains and Champions Online really got me into the superhero flavour that I bypassed as a kid. I was totally hooked on Champions Online for the longest time. Also, an anime based on the game is currently airing, but it's kind of okay.

While it's only released in China + Korea and even with the english patch I can understand little, I would recommend it if you have the time to make an account (instructions are easy to find on the internet). One more thing, Korean version has boob jiggle physics, but China version does not.īut overall, it's a nice MMO, almost as good as Vindictus (which I played a lot of). I believe there is an end game story for it, but I have yet to reach it.Īnd if none of the above convinces you, the graphics are better nice, and also the females and their decently large breast size (not as bad as something like Scarlet Blade, however ^_^) But if you take a look at this video, it says it all. There's also a good story behind the game, and some of the cutscenes ingame are nice. The combat utilizes combos, so in order to maximize damage, you would have to use certain skills and chain them.

At first, you gain the base skill at certain levels, but once you reach a certain level, you're able to use skill points to upgrade your base skill through its skill tree to make the skill better.Ĭombat in Blade and Soul reminds me of TERA (though I have never played TERA). Some classes can only be played by certain races, but for the most part it seems to balance out.Īs for skills, it has a somewhat unique skill tree for each skill. There are a decent amount of races + classes to choose from (there's even a race that's female only huehuehue). Which means that most of the stats are gained from leveling up, accessories, or a tile piece collection system called Bopae. One thing I found interesting is how all of the outfits (which are called doboks) have no stat properties, which means you can wear anything you want. While there isn't a NA/EU version out, there's the China and Korean version (though Korean is P2P I heard). One MMO that I found to be interest is Blade and Soul. I'm not really sure if this is considered an MMO but it's good nonetheless. Each accessory has a different move set and style in how you should fight with it. This is a game in which you purchase various accessories (things that you use to fight)in order to fight other players. Of course you can buy more with micro transactions but you can also make alternate accounts to hold your extra items as well.įinally there is a game called Getamped 2. There is a chest that you can store stuff in but it only has 6 slots. When your character dies it's gone for good along with anything it was carrying. It's very simple and easy to learn but very very hard to master. It was originally played in a browser but was then also brought to steam. Also this is on steam.Īnother MMO that I really like is Realm of the Mad God. Also when/if you finally get to the end game it does get a little repetitive, but that's why you take breaks from it every now and then. There are things you could do that have chances of completely destroying your equipment. A large portion of it is a big risk big reward kind of thing. The second thing is there is a lot and I mean A LOT of luck involved in this game. They have bugs that have been there forever and never communicate. First it's Nexon, their North American branch is terrible. A lot of people compare it to Monster Hunter. The game is very unique because it is a real time fighting game. I have played their game, Vindictus, for about a year and a half now on and off. If you played Korean MMOs you probably know of Nexon.
