Any thoughts/help would be much appreciated. Thanks again for taking the time to read this. Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Is there a way that I can restore the card and potentially fix the problem myself? An attempt to escalate to a supervisor got me placed on the call-back list with the information that it typically takes a week (frankly ridiculous if you ask me, but oh well).

While I appreciate the offer, I'm not in a position to blow $150 to get a new card. One was disconnected after waiting for the rep to check something for 10 minutes and the other offered me $250 towards the $400 cost to replace. Two calls to Mazda support yielded no help. When I reinstalled the card back into the car, the infotainment system didn't recognize the card at all. I was able to download and use the Mazda toolbox to check for updates (there were none) and to create a backup because I know that the card is bad. Re-insert the SD card into your Mazda Connect navigation system. Follow the Mazda Update Toolbox on-screen instructions to update your map. Eject the SD Card from your Mazda Connect navigation system and insert it into your computer. When at the dealership, I was told that they couldn't reproduce the issue and that my best bet was to pay $400 for a SW update that they could perform or I could use the tools that Mazda provides and check for any updates myself. Mazda To update your map, follow these steps: Download the Toolbox to your computer and create an account. Mine is in that range, probably not in warranty. I was able to find the tech service bulletin stating that it is a known issue and that they should replace the cards in a certain ser num range if they are in warranty. I discovered that the system does not have any issues when the card is removed so I know the rest of the system isn't bad, just the SD card. Fast-forward to today and the system restarts multiple times if the temp <40 and often will restart the entirety of the trip. At first, it was once maybe twice a week if it was particularly cold.

Product code is BHP1 66 EZ1C so it's not the absolute latest, and I don't know if copying this to a blank SD card would work, but you guys can give it a try.

For the past 3 years, I've been dealing with system restarts when it's cold out. Riche said: Hey all, So I bought a Navteq SD card on eBay for my 2015 mazda 3 and I made a fresh ISO image of the card when I received it.

TLDR I have a 2017 CX-5 that has a bad SD card for its nav system and I'm looking for a way to fix it.
